The City of London Parks and Recreation Department is proud to provide the community a wide variety of recreational programming and services. The department continues to revise and expand program offerings in response to the needs and interests of the residents of London. All residents can take advantage of the diverse number of programs and activities sponsored by the department on an annual basis.
The department offers a variety of leisure services and programs to residents and visitors of all ages and abilities.
Each year, more than 5,000 registrants participate in department programs which range from preschool, parent/child, youth, teen and adult to senior adult programs in a variety of interest areas such as athletics, arts, crafts, fitness, wellness and leisure events.
The London Parks and Recreation Recreation Department coordinates all city sponsored recreational activities, programs, and facilities within London. We also collaborate closely with youth sports leagues such as London Area Baseball Council, London Area Football League, London Wrestling Club, and London Kiwanis Youth Soccer League to ensure youth involvement in the community. The Department also works closely with the London City School District, partnering to the use of facilities throughout the year.
The Department maintains four community parks and public lands that cover 143 acres. The community parks offer facilities for activities including basketball, softball, BMX racing, and fitness activities.
Each park also offers a relaxing family atmosphere to experience with shelter houses and gazebo to enjoy an outing. The Department also directs and maintains the outdoor municipal pool that is open from the final day of session to the first day of session of the local school districts.

Nationwide Children's Sport's Medicine is a proud supporter of youth athletics and the London Parks and Recreation Department. A representative will be available during the pre-season clinics of each youth sport to help instruct coaches and parents proper stretching and warm-up techniques to prevent injury.
